Congratulations to Steven Dixon who passed his Grade 7 Clarinet exam with 124 marks in July!

Congratulations to two more of our band members who have achieved Distinctions in their music exams this summer. Caitlin McKenna scored 130 in her Grade 3 Clarinet exam, and April Bell scored a fantastic 135 in her Grade 3 Saxophone. We have a very talented band at the moment, and these results further emphasise this.

Congratulations to Cornet players Evan Lynch and Chris McKenna on their recent exam results. Evan passed grade 3 with Distinction (130pts) and Chris passed Grade 5, also with Distinction (140pts). Well done to both!

Almost 400 people attended our 40th Anniversary concert in March. Radio Leeds' Andrew Edwards presented 5 year awards to Helena Bloomer, Steven Dixon, Joe Marchant, Jade Sinfield, and Sarah Findley, a 10 year to Fiona Rhind and a bunch of flowers to our life members Clare Jaggar and Suzanne Wadsworth. Each member of the Executive Committee were also presented with a small gift in recognition of their service to the organisation.

CYM have received several donations to mark our 40th Anniversary. Bob and Vanessa Clarkson donated £100 towards the cost of printing the concert programme, Arnold and Sheila Roberts made a £76 donation, and former Committee members Ros and Russell Burgess-Dawson have donated £50. We also received an anonymous donation of £35. Thank you very much for your support.
